TIRANA, December 14/ATA/ Opposition lawmakers clashed again today with the National Guard officers before the beginning of the Assembly’s session.

The suspended lawmakers attempted to enter the plenary session hall, but the Guard officers stopped them.

This led to a physical clash between the lawmakers and the Guard officers during which there was broken even the glazing of the Assembly’s front door.

Head of the Democratic Party’s Re-foundation Commission Sali Berisha said that, “There are some suspended lawmakers and they should not enter, but the majority of the lawmakers should be in the session”.

Berisha pointed at Prime Minister Edi Rama who being afraid of the opposition has found as a way out not to allow any lawmaker of the opposition to enter the Assembly. “This means taking the Assembly under police and Guard’s control”, he said.

Today, the agenda of the Assembly carries the approval of the new Rules of Procedure. And according to the new rules, the lawmakers who provoke chaos can be suspended for 2 months./p.s./
