This roundtable was attended by representatives from 22 Civil Society Organizations as well as members and permanent guests of the NCEI.

In her opening remarks, the Chair of the NCEI, Jorida Tabaku, said that the NCEI as well as the Commission for European Integration have tried to encourage the participation of civil society in this process.

She invited CSO representatives to provide feedback on how they could contribute to the negotiation process in a structured way.

Whereas, the vice chairman Taulant Balla, among others, reminded that even today the call is open for application of CSOs as members of NCEI with the right to vote.

He stressed that their feedback and proposals during this meeting would be taken into account.

He invited the attendees to provide their proposals, ideas and suggestions to enrich the one-year calendar of this Council.

“Be sure that any kind of hearing or any other activity that you are willing to propose, will be included in the one-year calendar of the National Integration Council. In January, we will gather to shape the calendar of 2022 “, Balla said among others.

The participants thanked NCEI for the active involvement of Civil Society Organizations in this important integration process.

During the discussion, the representatives of CSOs said that these organizations are added value to this process, as they play a key role in monitoring, consulting and evaluating actions, measures and developments in the frame of the country’s European integration process.
