Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Anila Denaj announced on Monday that the figures reflect the excellent work and dedication of farmers, to strengthen local production with the support of the ministry.
Albania has a strong tradition in the production of citrus fruits (namely oranges, lemons and tangerines), which is concentrated in coastal areas.

The fruit category that has seen the greatest growth is that of citrus fruits, especially tangerines, which have been very successful. Among citrus fruits, tangerines are the most dominant and fastest growing product (accounting for about 2/3 of citrus production).
Exports of citrus fruits “Made in Albania” supply not only the regional market, Kosovo, North Macedonia, etc., but are already being sold everywhere in Europe.
