TIRANA, April 3 /ATA/ Prime Minister Rama stated today that the Chinese and Russian vaccines were provided after the EU did not make us part of the vaccine distribution scheme.

Speaking about the Russian and Chinese vaccines and why he hesitated about them, Rama said that getting the vaccine has been a very dynamic process.

He added that initially we got a contract with Pfizer and were optimistic that we could secure EMA-approved vaccines, following the same line with the EU.

Rama added that the Chinese vaccine, from the point of view of credibility, has a very high credibility.

“First, because Turkey, which is a country that everyone respects for the transformation of health, is vaccinating with that vaccine and it is very successful” Rama said.

Rama stressed that Berisha and others spread rumors that the Chinese vaccine is deadly and that the Chinese have stopped it for over 60 years old”.

“I say, the Chinese pursued a different strategy. The Chinese did not start from the top down, but started vaccinating the workforce and actually left the 60 plus part for later. They started to vaccinate 60 plus by mid- March”, said Rama.

Rama said that there is no need to be skeptical or worried, because the vaccines are absolutely safe./r.e/p.s./

TIRANA, February 2 /ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that he is very happy that the International Airport “Mother Teresa in Rinas passed from the hands of the Chinese to the hands of the Albanians.

In the weekly press conference “Economy in focus”, when asked by journalists why it was decided to review the concession contract for Rinas in an election period, Prime Minister Rama said that, “I am very happy that the airport will finally have normal prices for Albanians, because it was the most expensive airport in Europe”.

The head of government said that, “I am very happy that the airport will be turned into a new investment site that has not been done before by the Chinese such as the new terminal and the new runway. This runway will enter the settings of a runway that will operate for large aircraft making transoceanic flights because you know very well that the pandemic prevented us. We have not given up on taking “Fan Noli” plane to America and vice versa on other flights.”

“It will have 25% cheaper travel and return to normal competitiveness”, – said Rama.

Why not today, Rama added, elections are a democratic process and it is an inevitable station, but I do not work for elections, we do not work for elections

“I read a lot that now the elections are coming. No, we have worked every day to the maximum with flesh and blood”, said Rama./k.s/p.s./
