The event saw introduction of 15 new songs in Junior and Young categories. The winner of the Junior category will represent Albania in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Tbilisi, Georgia.

The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation Blendi Gonxhja shared images from the event on Sunday.

“A glimpse into the fantastic atmosphere of the children’s song festival in Shkodër,” Gonxhja wrote on the social media.

On the first night, talented children from Albanian territories performed 14 new entries.

The festival is a long-standing tradition in Shkodër and it serves as a platform for young performers to showcase their skills and a stepping stone for those who may represent Albania at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

The festival is the main source of children’s songs, featuring well-known names in children’s music and poetry, while also discovering new performance talents among the contestants. The festival brings together talented children from all over Albanian-speaking territories, becoming one of the most important and longest-lasting cultural and musical events in Albania.

Held at the historic Migjeni Theatre, the festival provides a prestigious platform for young talents to showcase their musical skills. The theater’s elegance added to the festival’s allure, making the experience memorable for participants and audiences alike.

This beautiful celebration cultivated community spirit with cultural exchange and local heritage exploration, leaving a lasting impact on both young attendees and Shkodra itself. Here, children discovered the joy of music, ignited their imaginations, and celebrated their heritage – all within an inclusive atmosphere.
