Minister Hoxha spoke about the opening of a new chapter in the path of blue uniforms towards Albania 2030.

Hoxha emphasized that, in accordance with the new law on the State Police, there is opened the competition for the position of the Director General of Police (DGP), which will be immediately followed by the legal and meritocratic process of renewing the entire team of senior officers of the State Police

“Our ambition for the State Police 2030, as a worthy force of the European Union, is an ambition based on the concrete potential we have to raise the Police to a new level, further consolidating the declining trend of criminality and growing faster the quality of the police service in every aspect”, emphasized Hoxha.

The minister congratulated the efforts of the police chiefs, so far.

But, he underlined that today is the time to pass on experience to another younger generation of leaders, who thanks to the colossal work done so far, as he put it, will not start their journey from the precipice of 2013, but from a height achieved with the efforts of a decade and they will have no excuse if they fail to elevate the State Police to the level of the best troops of the European Union.

“The newly approved State Police Law, the main credit for the very good content of which goes to my honorable predecessor Taulant Balla and the current chiefs of the State Police, is an excellent platform for further reform and upgrade of our police force “, said Hoxha. /j.p/p.s./
