TIRANA, May 29/ATA/ Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Frida Krifca held a meeting today with cherry farmers in Melan, Dibra.

The minister said in the social media that thanks to the recently built Arbri road, there are multiplied the potentials for expanding the supply and demand of agricultural products.

“In Melan, with cherry farmers. The production this season is good and the expectations are good, but the farmers expressed their request to me for the construction of refrigeration storage centers in Peshkopi. We will address this need through the government support programs, the same as we have done in many regions of Albania where we have built infrastructure and created an attractive product force that previously did not exist. Now that, the Arbri road has connected Dibra to Tirana and Tirana to Dibra, the potentials for expanding the supply and demand of agricultural products have multiplied for this region”, wrote Krifca in her status.

The achievements in the agriculture sector are satisfactory. During the first four months of the current year, the exports amounted to 37 million Euros more.

It is estimated that by the end of this year the exports in agriculture will reach 550 million dollars, which means 3.7 times more than they were in 2013./p.s./
