TIRANA, May 9 /ATA/ – A new episode of the Treasures of Albania TV series by Bettany Hughes, an English historian, author and broadcaster, will be premiered on the British television Channel 4 on Saturday, the Minister of Tourism and Environment Mirela Kumbaro announced on Thursday via the social media.

“The British professor Bettany Hughes narrates the latest story about the treasures of Albania from Bylis, one of the most epic cities of Illyria. In an exquisite setting, Bettany Hughes reveals the ancient Illyrians and the remnants of their once bustling city Bylis,” Tourism Minister said, posting also a clip from the latest episode of the documentary film.

Kumbaro announced that the documentary will be aired on Saturday, May 11, 07:00 pm for millions of viewers of British public broadcast television Channel 4, featuring Albania’s heritage and archaeological tourism through a journey across the Illyrian lands.

Last year, Hughes made the documentary “Treasures of Albania” that was broadcasted on Channel 4 too. She explored Albania’s Roman-era epic fortress towns, impressive archaeological sites, a diverse history and culture from the early Middle Ages to the Ottoman-era wonders and the brutal communist bunkers.

An episode of the Treasures of Albania documentary was premiered last month, with the British esteemed historian and broadcaster Bettany Hughes exploring Albania’s enigmatic beauty and historical profundity, a land where the whispers of the past blend seamlessly with the vibrancy of the present.

Over the past few years, Albania has made the headlines of the international media as a must-see destination for everyone to explore the country’s beauty and tourist potential.
