The panel of judges of the Special Appellate College, composed of Albana Shtylla, chairperson, Natasha Mulaj, relator, Ina Rama, Rezarta Schuetz, Sokol Çomo members, announced the decision on the case concerning the appeal of the Public Commissioner against the decision of the Independent Qualification Commission, which is related to the subject of revaluation Besnik Cengu.

At the end of the trial, the trial panel decided to change decision no. 629, dated 03.03.2023 of the Independent Qualification Commission.

Special Appellate College decided to stop the transitional re-evaluation process for the subject of re-evaluation Besnik Cengu, with the function of prosecutor in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Tirana.

The Special Appellate College also imposed a ban on appointment of Besnik Cengu as a judge or prosecutor of any level, a member of the High Judicial Council or the High Prosecution Council, High Inspector of Justice or General Prosecutor, for a period of 15 years.

This decision is final and enters into force immediately./p.s./
