Vata/ The State Commissioner of Elections, Ilirjan Celibashi, held on Monday a consultation with Emiliano Lule and representatives from the Institute of the Blind, which focused on the election process for people with visual impairment.

The interlocutors discussed the Braille-enabled ballot paper and the accessibility of election information to visually impaired people.

On his part, Lule expressed his readiness to assist the CEC with preparing information materials for visually impaired people, on the other hand, we expressed our support for establishing the fitting mechanisms so that election information can be accessed by this category.

The SEC recommended that the Institute of the Visually Impaired People come up with a list of needs for blind persons regarding their accessibility in the electoral process.
