A press release of the NVPPA provides the data so far following the fire situation that affected these three municipalities.

Thus, in the villages of Tremul and Aliko in Finiq Municipality, the fire has caused damage to pastures and olive groves, but there have been no losses in livestock. Farmers have been instructed on the steps they should follow in case of danger.

In Dhivër Municipal Unit, there have been damages caused to pastures and olive groves. The farms that were at risk from the lack of food for livestock were evacuated to safe areas with pastures, away from the fire centers.

In the village of Sirakat, Mesopotam Municipal Unit, there was found burnt a stable with 4 dead calves, as well as two bee yards, with 140 and 57 hives, respectively.

Further on, the NVPPA stated that the situation in the Municipality of Delvina is serious. The working groups continue monitoring on the ground. It is initially suspected that a farm with 25 heads of cattle and 9 bee yards, with a total of 500 hives, was burned.

In the villages of Skënderbegas, Arunas, Shëmbërdhenjë, Bletës and Kullollas, there were found burnt 9 heads of cattle, 95 heads of cattle and 50 beehives. Working groups are on the ground to fully identify the damage and to assist farmers. The dead animals are being buried. So far, 39 small animals and cattle have been buried according to veterinary protocols.

The National Veterinary and Plant Protection Authority called on farmers to cooperate closely with state authorities to protect their lives and the health of animals. /p.s./
