TIRANA, June 10 /ATA/ The first six months of this year have marked an increase in the flow of visitors to the historical castles of Albania which, thanks to the restorations carried out in recent years, have become main attractions for local and foreign tourists ALIKE.

The news was announced by the Minister of Culture, Elva Margariti, who informed that this period saw 41,457 visitors.

Margariti also shared on social media the figures indicating the significant increase in visitors to the historical castles in recent years.

The figures of the first 6 months of this year show a significant increase in the flow of visitors compared to 2020 which recorded only 12,183 visitors, while 2021 recorded 20,756 visitors.

In 2022, the fortresses and other monuments of the country were visited by 24,832 visitors.
