The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that he is proud of this partnership and that this standard of construction will set the bar high in Albania.

“We are really proud of the collaboration with KfW because we want these 5 buildings to be only the first 5 swallows. We have set the bar high for energy efficiency, access for people with disability, for the quality of post-earthquake constructions. What is being done here is the standard of what construction in Albania will be going forward. Today, the buildings under construction will house not only Albanian students, but also foreign students of the College of Europe. This means that the standard will be comparable to any other campus in Europe,” he emphasized.

Veliaj underlined the fact that today university campus offers a new reality for young people who come to Tirana.
