Addressing a rally marking the launch of the electoral campaign at Mother Teresa square in Tirana on Friday evening, Berisha underlined that his party had previously demonstrated it can deliver economic growth, double wages and pensions in Albania, pledging to do so if the opposition is to win the next month’s parliamentary elections.

“I stand before you here today to pledge to Albanians that DP-led government will set the lowest tax rates in Europe and in the world, so that you can recover, prosper and become rich,” Berisha said.

He pledged zero tolerance policy against corruption, promising that a national audit would recover and return hundreds of millions of euros to Albanian citizens.

“I stand here to pledge before Albanians to pursue zero tolerance to the misuse and embezzlement of your wealth. I am here to promise Albanians that the national audit of the narco-state will restore hundreds of millions of euros stolen from them. I stand before you to pledge that the criminal organizations wherever they are, in Albania, Aruba, Dubai and wherever else will be brought before justice together with criminal and thief ministers,” Berisha stated.
