Under a decision adopted by the Council of Ministers at a regular meeting on Friday, ADF will oversee all public procurement and implementation procedures related to the project.

The project includes construction of an underground archaeological museum, the development of underground parking facilities and the full rehabilitation of Mother Teresa Square, one of Tirana’s main public spaces.

To advance the project, the Albanian Development Fund will submit applications for development and construction permits on behalf of the beneficiary public institutions to the relevant territorial planning authorities and will follow all required legal procedures.

ADF may cooperate with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sports and the Municipality of Tirana for implementation of the project.

The financial cost of the project will be covered by the budget allocated to ADF.
