TIRANA, Feb 1 /ATA/ State Election Commissioner, Ilirjan Celibashi, published on Tuesday the number of parties that have registered so far in March 6 by-election.

“The CEC has submitted a request to register as electoral subjects in the March 6 elections, for 6 municipalities and 11 parties,” Celibashi wrote on Twitter.

Celibashi stressed that, “no request for registration as an electoral subject in the local by-elections has been submitted to the CEC and to any CEAZ by no Initiating Committee.”

Celibashi added that, “the CEC has 24 hours available to return for completion the flawed documentation of the parties to proceed with their approval in the session. The Electoral Code stipulates that the registered subjects have a deadline of 24 hours to file the request for possible electoral coalitions,” he said. /j.p/sm/
