TIRANa, July 1 /ATA/ The Natural Museum of Divjaka, home to a collection of 400 butterflies and other species, continues to attract a high number of local and foreign visitors since its opening two years ago.

The administrator of the Divjakë-Karavasta tourist guide, as well as the creator of this museum, Altin Hila, told ATA that “from January to the end of June, this museum was visited by about 4,000 local and foreign visitors.”

“Local visitors are mostly students. But this park is also arousing the curiosity of many biologists who are passionate about nature,” said Hila.

It took Hila more than 20 years of dedication to create this museum.

“This collection, in addition to conservation, documentation, recognition of the wealth of a country, aims above all to introduce the new generations to the wealth of our country,” Hila says.

In this unique museum, visitors immerse themselves into the magical world of butterflies, insects, molluscs and some rare species.
Hila says that “the museum is twice as big, but for reasons of space he cannot exhibit birds, reptiles, shellfish, spiders and many others.”

He calls on the authorities to help him improve and further develop this property because, as Hila says, this environment no longer belongs to Altini or Divjaka, but to the whole of Albania.
