TIRANA, July 11 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ The Municipality of Kukës brought together the locals, visitors, travelers and the tourism authorities in an impressive celebration on Bushtrica Mountains Day organized against a wonderful backdrop.

In attendance were Minister of Environment and Tourism Blendi Klosi, the mayor of Kukës Safet Gjici and many nature explorers.

In his remarks, Minister Klosi said that once Arbri Road and Kukes Airport are completed, Kukes and all the surrounding areas, including the magnificent mountains in terms of beauty and healthy climate, will become a major attraction and boost the local economy.

“I accepted with great pleasure the invitation of the Mayor to participate in the feast of the Bushtrica Mountains,’ he said highlighting the importance of both the central government and local government working together to increase the number of these celebrations that have many purposes, but the most important is the attraction of emigrants who have the opportunity to come and invest in these areas, ” said Minister Klosi.

“Two days ago we inaugurated the Kukes airport, a landmark event for the region that will create great opportunities to develop the Mountains as a winter tourist destination,” Klosi said.

“This is one of the most protected areas in Albania. They are under the care of the Agency of Protected Areas but should also be accessible for tourists. Therefore, with the construction of Arbri road, with the completion of investments on the Nation’s road, with the construction of the airport, this destination will lure numerous visitors in the coming years “, he said.
