“Business is the heart of our economy, it is the one that sustains the economy, that creates jobs and pays state taxes. What we have done is the constant support for business, especially in the face of two subsequent shocks, the earthquake and the pandemic,” said Bushati.

According to him, the SP has helped the small business through the progressive tax from the very beginning of the first term of office back in 2013.

“Today it is a fact that 91% of businesses in Albania do not pay profit tax. Those that employ more people, household businesses which are ubiquitous in Albania, are exempt from profit tax. They have been excluded from the VAT scheme, ” said Bushati.

Bushati also touched on investments in the economy. According to him, in 2021 there will be 1 billion euros of investments.

“Such investments at the level of 7.2% of GDP are a novelty and the right initiative which is based on the model followed by all countries across the world. In every country and economy, the main actor, which is the state, takes the risk and undertakes to spur the economy by reducing taxes, which makes businesses invest more and increase investment in the market,” he said.

This majority, Bushati said, has shown the will to support Albanian business and families.
