According to the NTC, the confiscated buildings are located: 9 in Tirana, 1 in Durrës, 5 in Kavaja, 4 in Vlora, 2 in Himara and 1 in Saranda. Meanwhile, according to same sources, in total since the beginning of the confiscation process for constructions in violation of the building permit, for profit purposes, after the issuance of the relevant CoM Decision, the number of confiscated buildings has gone to 22 and 1 with a contract promise-sale worth 1 euro.

The NTC emphasized that controls continue on the ground, while the CoM Decision compelling the local government units or the NTC itself for the special permits, to conduct supervisory controls of the construction sites and report them every 45 days.

“In this way, this unlawful practice will come to an end and every responsibility will be finally clear, while citizens’ investment will be protected, as well as public and private property,” same sources say.
The government is proceeding in parallel with the implementation until the end of the confiscation procedure and the transfer of the entire 97487.556 square meters confiscated so far, to efficient use for public interest. All these procedures will not only be precise in legal terms, but also transparent to the public. NTC said that it will inform the public of any decision-making related to the use of these spaces.
