After the end of the session, the Minister of Finance and Economy, Delina Ibrahimaj stated that the primary objective of the government is to shield the most needy strata, families and Albanian business from the soaring energy prices and maintain the macroeconomic and fiscal parameters.

“We always remain open and cooperative to the benefit of policies that guarantee the development of the country, in times like no other, with the raging war taking its toll on our economy and the world economy. Our primary objective is to protect the needy, families and Albanian business from the increase in energy prices and maintain macroeconomic and fiscal parameters, as a commitment of our government to our citizens”, she said.

In the framework of social protection, the 2023 budget will support over 1.2 million citizens, with about 50 billion ALL.

The draft budget and the Fiscal Package will be sent back for discussion item by item to the parliamentary committees for a two-week period to be adopted again in a special plenary session.
