TIRANA, Nov 12 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni, stated today that investment in human capital is and will remain a top priority of public administration reform.

During the discussion of the 2025 draft budget in the Committee on European Affairs, Pirdeni stated that “the budget is based on the roadmap for public administration reform and the roadmap for the rule of law.”

According to her, “it is precisely these two documents that outline concrete measures, not only for the institutions of the Albanian government but also for other institutions that hold competences in this field.”

” Investments are also planned at the digital systems, such as upgrading the entire framework of the e-Albania system to further enhance service delivery to citizens, as well as for the integrated management of human resources in the public administration, with a budget allocation of 3 million euros,” said Pirdeni.

The Minister of State drew attention t the European Commission’s progress report, which, according to her, “commends the significant increase in public sector salaries in Albania.”

“The average salary level is around 900 euros, while in the education system it reaches 950 euros,” she said.

In addition to the budgetary support, Pirdeni emphasized that the EU supports two key projects for good governance with 3.6 million euros, as well as providing technical assistance amounting to 3.85 million euros in the field of the fight against corruption.
