TIRANA, Oct  18 /ATA/ – By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated on Tuesday from Përmet that the 2023 budget is twice as high as the 2013 budget.

At a meeting in Përmet with representatives of different sectors, Rama said that the volume of income has been made available for the families in the form of support.

“How come a government that fares badly is able to increase the budget twofold, it is out of the question. This budget is incomparable to the budget allocation for the people in 2013, it is more than double, which is the right response at this time like no other,” said Rama.

Prime Minister assured that the government will stand by the side of people in need and working people like never before to help them cope with the winter ahead called the most difficult winter in Europe since the Second World War, a repercussion of the inflation triggered by Putin’s war against freedom and  Western democracy.

“Financial shield against the soaring price of energy, steady increase of salaries and pensions; increase of the minimum wage; increasing the economic assistance and increasing it twofold for mothers with two children, after those with three last spring; twofold increase of economic assistance for single pensioners; increased financial assistance along with energy subsidy for persons with disabilities; increased financing for tax-free diesel oil for farmers and grain production; new financial support for oil in the fisheries sector; urban transport financing to keep the ticket price unchanged… these are already active measures to support the economy of Albanian families, which will be capped by the year-end bonus for pensioners, as well as the new support measures for salaries and pensions in the next year,” said Rama.
