TIRANA, Nov  7  /ATA/ The chairman of the SP parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, said on Monday that, amid the war that the world and Europe are facing today, we managed to present an increased budget

In a media statement from the parliament presidency, Balla spoke about the 2023 budget which is under discussion in the parliamentary committees.

Balla said that, “the highlight of this draft budget is the continuation of support for all Albanian families. The government will continue to subsidize almost 80% of the electricity bill for every Albanian family for as long as the war rages on.”

Balla said that, “Albania is no exception when it comes to the effects of war inflation. Our main focus is not to leave any Albanian family behind and to continue to support families on state benefit. As you know some interventions have been made to support families in economic assistance, especially mothers that are household heads. We will very soon pass the law on this issue in the following days”.

“We will continue to support pension indexation. I remind you that during 2022 the total increase in pensions is 10%, the largest increase ever made in one year. Compared to 2013, the pension budget is 2 times bigger,” said Balla.
