TIRANA, Feb 5 /ATA/ – Parliament Speaker Lindita Nikolla hosted Monday Thomas Hacker and Stephan Brandner, members of Parliamentary Group for Cooperation of Bundestag with Southeast European countries, accompanied by the German Ambassador to Albania, Karl Bergner.

Speaker Nikolla underlined that Germany is Albania’s staunch supporter.

Nikolla also said that the Bundestag is a partner and highly valuable supporter of Albanian parliament.

“Berlin is not only just a more frequent destination, but also one of the most important and most inspiring destinations for the Albanian government and state leaders. Albania is grateful to Germany for supporting its European path. Albania’s chairmanship of Berlin Process in 2023 reconfirmed the country’s contribution as a factor of stability and Europeanization in the region, as well as the support of the majority of the countries in the region for our common aspiration to join the European family,” Nikolla said during meeting.

The two Bundestag members, Thomas Hacker and Stephan Brandner noted that Albania-Germany relations are firmly grounded on the values of respect, trust and cooperation. They also said that Germany’s Bundestag and Albania’s Assembly will further expand their parliamentary cooperation.
