TIRANA, March 16/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama positively assessed today the financial support granted by the EU to start building of the European College of Bruges in Tirana.

During the joint press conference in Tirana with the two high officials of the EU, Josep Borrell and Oliver Varhelyi, the prime minister thanked specially the Commissioner, who, according to him, “when he comes to Albania and other countries, he does not just come with the bouquet of principles and sermons, but there is also a European portfolio that he always opens”.

“I am very glad that this time the Commissioner has come with the fund to start building of the European College of Bruges in Tirana”, said Rama.

The prime minister appreciated this as a very beautiful gift, but also a very well-deserved one from Albania.

“It is extremely significant for us and extremely important for us that after the European College of Bruges opened its own branch in Poland, in the early 90s, to support the first countries that joined then the European Union, it is now opening the branch in Albania”, he added./gj.m/p.s./
