TIRANA, Nov 25 /ATA/ – The Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports Blendi Gonxhja on Tuesday shared footage of several recently restored bridges designated as cultural monuments, saying they had withstood increased river flows following days of heavy rain.

Gonxhja said the restoration work, carried out with professional techniques and full respect for the original architecture of the first-category heritage bridges, had reinforced structures ranging from the Mes Bridge in Shkodra and the Zogu Bridge (phase I), to the Golik and Shën Prodhomi bridges in Voskopoja, the Nica Bridge in Pogradec and the bridges of Glina and Haskova in Gjirokastër.

He said the rainfall had tested the restoration efforts, and the bridges had suffered no damage, demonstrating the resilience regained through the works and the importance of preserving these historic structures.
