For the 13th consecutive year, the U.S. Embassy in Tirana proudly supported this event and women’s empowerment through health. Breast Cancer Awareness month focuses on the importance of educating women and girls on how to detect cancer early and lead healthy lives.

Ambassador Kim reminded participants that this disease that doesn’t care how rich you are, doesn’t care where you live, it doesn’t care whether you are happy or sad, it happens to all of us, it can happen to all of us.

“So I hope I hope all of us will get our mammogram! It’s not pleasant but you should do it! And I hope that all of us encourage our friends, our mothers, our sisters, our aunts, our grandmothers, our daughters to get a mammogram,” Ambassador Kim said.
