Culture, Tourism and Sports Minister Blendi Gonxhja shared Jaho’s message on social media on Saturday, calling it “a heartfelt reminder that hope and love are the greatest strength.”

“Don’t postpone your breast screening. Take care of yourself, because life is the most precious gift. By sharing this moment, we unite in solidarity, strength and hope,” Gonxhja said.

Jaho, recognized globally for her opera performances, stressed the personal and social impact of breast cancer.

“Every year, hundreds of women and girls in Albania face breast cancer. It is not just a disease, but a daily battle for strength, hope and life,” she said.

Her message to Albanian women was clear: “Don’t delay your checkup. Early detection saves lives. Caring for yourself is an act of love – for yourself, for your family, for your future. Together we are stronger, together we give hope.”

The Pink October campaign in Albania, part of a global initiative, aims to raise awareness on prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer, one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide.
