The prefect of the Korça region, Nertil Jole, together with the deputy prefect Henrik Rusi, met the head of Customs, Herkul Marko and the director of the Korça Border and Migration, Fatmir Hoxha.

“At the height of the tourist season, when the flow of entries is higher than usual, it is needed higher commitment and extra measures to ensure the normal circulation of passengers and goods in both directions, as well as avert traffic of any kind at the customs point between Albania and Greece,” said Jole.

At the border point, Jole also met with officers of FRONTEX, the force that works to stop migratory flows at the border.
In border crossing points across the country, measures have been intensified to successfully cope with the high flow during the tourist season, as well as to prevent and crack down on illegitimacy.
