Out of 11 applications, the jury composed of translator Maklena Nika, Ben Andoni and Erion Kristo,  picked six literary works to be translated into various foreign languages through the Literary Translation Fund.

The works by Albanian authors Diana Çuli, Virgjil Muçi, Bashkim Hoxha, Ardian Vehbiu, Besnik Mustafaj and Preç Zogaj will be translated into Greek, Serbian, German and Arabic.

The director of the Albanian Literature Foundation, Alda Bardhyli, stated that this fund aims to promote Albanian literature across borders and that the translation of Albanian books into other languages ​​and cultures remains a priority.

This year, 11 publishing houses responded to a call by the National Book and Reading Centre for translation of the works by Albanian authors, namely into Italian, Serbian, Spanish, Greek, Macedonian, English, German, French and Arabic.
