Prime Minister Edi Rama wished Monday a prosperous year to the employees of the Prison Police, adding that, “they received the bonus as part of the Big Package, which was another support to offset the impact of war inflation on their families.”

“As a vehicle driver in the Prison Police, at the General Directorate of Penitentiary System, I am very satisfied with the measures that have been taken recently, making available new vehicles with contemporary conditions for transporting prisoners, which has greatly facilitated our work, as our work requires precision and readiness,” said an employee of the Prison Police.

The bonus from the Big Package for all employees of the Penitentiary System comes in the follow-up to the increase of their salaries up to 33% from September 1, 2022.

“After the salary increase for Prison Police employees, during 2022, the government has constantly taken care by giving us maximum support and this time, made us part of the Big Package,” another prison police employee said.

“I am very satisfied with the 20 thousand lek bonus, help for me and my family. Thank you for being with us during these festive days,” said another employee.

“Bonus up to 150% of salary for State Police employees who perform their duty away from the place of residence,” Prime Minister Edi Rama said on social networks.

The 2022 draft budget stipulates a bonus up to 150% of the salary for the employees of the State Police who exercise their duty away from the place of residence.

This special treatment includes about 1179 police officers working outside the residential center, who will be entitled to this bonus starting from January 2022. For the first time, employees in the rank of inspector will benefit this supplement.
