TIRANA, July 7/ATA/ The Minister of Interior, Bledi Çuçi held on Wednesday a meeting with the new leaders of the State Police, at central and local level.

During the meeting the Interior Minister Çuçi urged the new leaders of the blue uniforms to justify the trust by increasing the parameters of order, to increase public safety and fight illegal activities.

In his remarks, Minister Çuçi focused on the need to increase public trust in the State Police to other levels. Çuçi said that, State Police continues to be at the top of the list of the most reliable institutions, but in order not to allow oscillations in perception, we must work hard by responding and reacting in time to any denunciation of citizens. The increase of citizens’ trust in the police is translated into more denunciations and phone calls to 112, which increases the crackdown on illegal activities.

The Minister Çuçi stressed the importance of the results in the fight against cannabis and good management of measures, to guarantee a smooth running of tourist season. //a.i/
