The Dutch Embassy to Albania said that the efforts of the Tax Administration in strengthening tax collection mechanisms, and increasing transparency create a more attractive environment for businesses and foreign investors, aligning Albania with EU market principles.

“We are looking forward to strengthening Dutch-Albanian cooperation in this area” stated the Dutch Embassy.

The Netherlands ranks among the main investors in our country. According to data from the Bank of Albania, the stock of Dutch investments marked 2.54 billion euros at the end of 2024. Total Dutch investments increased by 14% compared to the previous year.

Director General of the Tax Office Ilir Binaj and a delegation of his management staff paid an official visit to Stockholm, at the headquarters of the Swedish Tax Administration at the invitation of the Director General Katrin Westling Palm.

Binaj said that during the roundtable with his Swedish colleagues, there were presented the joint cooperation projects between the two countries.

“The talks focused on progress of the cooperation project on areas such as the use of data exchange with the management team of the counterpart administration, tax control, risk management, taxpayer service, integrity culture, business process development, tax investigation and debt management”, said Binaj.

During the meeting, there was also discussed on visions, strategies and plans for the future and also the joint effort to help in the development of the respective societies. /j.p/p.s./

These people who set fire do not think about their families. In 2 cases in Sevaster and Lapardha, thanks to the residents, 2 dangerous fires were extinguished.
