The prefect visited one of the areas most frequented by tourists and ski enthusiasts, Bigëll – Dardha ski resort.

“This resort was built thanks to the passion and efforts of the Tasho family. They wished to build the first skiing center in the country, with a great value for the development of the skiing culture in Albania”, wrote Prefect Jole in a post on social media.

Bigëll – Dardha ski resort started to be built in 2008 by Thoma Tasho, together with his two children, Sokrati and Paola, a family of passionate sportsmen. The center is equipped with 3 tracks, a cable car and a “magic carpet” which helps children and beginners.

“Addressing the car-parking problem of the visitors who come to this resort mainly during the weekends in the winter season, remains a concern that we agreed to solve together with the responsible actors”, wrote the prefect of Korça. According to him, this is a necessity to guarantee the normal movement of vehicles towards this destination without hindering the local residents of Dardha and other businesses in the area. /p.s./
