The forum will kick off at 09:00hrs. The opening speech is expected to be delivered by Prime Minister Edi Rama, Ines Mucostepa, President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce in Albania and Olivier Becht, France’s Minister of Foreign Trade and Economy. The proceedings, according to the published agenda, are divided into several panels, and the forum is expected to close at 18:30.

The forum will bring together the Ministers of Economy of the Berlin Process, representatives of the European Union and other partners of the Berlin Process, with a focus on the advancement of the regional common market, to promote the development of the economic growth of the region and to bring it closer to the EU.

This forum is expected to reflect on the achievements, priorities and main challenges in the implementation of this plan and the advancement of the regional integration agenda through support within the Berlin Process, as a very important instrument for accelerating the economic convergence of the region with the European Union. This meeting focuses on the facilitation of trade and the reduction of barriers, the integration of markets, the increase of regional cooperation, the integration of the payment systems of the region and the economic preparation of the Western Balkans for an eventual integration in the Eurozone.
This forum aims to present the main achievements and steps towards EU integration, as well as highlight the needs and recommendations from the business community of the Western Balkans to fully unlock the growth potentials of the region. The forum is co-organized by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, the Investment Forum of Western Balkan Chambers 6 (ËB6 CIF), together with the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania.

The Berlin Process is an initiative aimed at increasing regional cooperation in the Western Balkans and providing assistance for the integration of the countries of this region into the European Union. It was launched on August 28, 2014 by German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
