According to Berisha, the arrest of opposition leaders and the restriction of media freedom and social media access make Rama an “internal enemy.”

Berisha called for the quick adoption of a resolution condemning hostile acts against Albanians and democracy.
Referring to the speech of U.S. Vice President JD Vance in Munich, the leader of the Democratic Party said, “This is the greatest threat to the citizens of Albania.”
“Yes, this is a threat to all those who aspire and dream of being free, not to those who enrich themselves in an appalling way by stealing from the Albanian people. Therefore, it should have been you calling for a debate. This is just one chapter, certainly the most dramatic. This concerns the system—what kind of system are we in? Are we in a democratic system, or are we in a system of tyranny?” said Berisha.
“This is the proposal, put it to a vote and then we will continue,” added Berisha.
