Minister of Culture Elva Margariti highlighted today the tireless work of the specialists of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Korça, thanks to which another cultural monument has been rescued from destruction.

The bell tower was in danger of collapse.

The Church of St. Nicholas in Vodica was re-declared a cultural monument in 2015 and faced many problems, up to the degradation of the bell tower, which was in danger of collapsing.

The church is built in the XVIII century and is of dome type with 9 windows.

In 2018, there were strong earthquakes in this area and the bell tower was endangered.

It is frequented by believers especially during religious holidays, but many pilgrims visit this holy place all year round. /j.p/p.s./
