The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku inspected today the works on construction site of Orikum-Dukat road axis.

“The team are working to a very strict deadline, work on the rehabilitation of this road axis will be completed with 24 months,” Minister Balluku said.

“We hope that in three years, the infrastructure necklace starting from Fier bypass to the exit of the Llogara tunnel in Palasë, will change the concept of travel to the southern Albania,” Minister Balluku said.

The road axis has a length of 14.7 km and the width is predicted to be 10.5 m. Three bridges will be built on this road and the largest bridge will have a length of 40 m. Following the construction of this axis the travel time from Vlora to Dukat will be shortened.

The minimum speed is projected at 60 km/ h in residential areas. //a.i/
