Having being informed in detail about the negotiations with Serbia, led by the European Union and supported by the United States of America, President Begaj praised the leadership, maturity and courage shown by Prime Minister Kurti and the negotiating team of the Republic of Kosovo to accept the European plan, as well as to sign and implement it.

Focusing on the outcome of the Ohrid meeting, on March 18, 2023, President Begaj said that the public agreement and commitment of the parties to implement the European blueprint for the normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia and the relevant annex, as an integral part of it is one more guarantee for the peace, stability and future of the countries of the region in the European Union.

President Begaj also expressed his conviction that the commitment taken by the parties in Ohrid will be fully respected, adding that appropriate mechanisms will be developed to turn this public agreement into a binding and applicable agreement for the parties at international level.
