TIRANA, Aug 20 /ATA/ The coast of Shëngjin has become a major attraction for local and foreign tourists during the summer season.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared Wednesday on his social media account a view from the beach of Shëngjin teeming with tourists.

The blend of coastal tourism with history, nature and culinary delights make Lezha a destination for all-year tourism.

The beach of Shëngjin lies west of the city of Lezha, from Velipoja in the north down to the right side of the Mouth of Drini in Lezha, south of Kune Island.

The beach has a length of 9 km and width up to 30-70 m. The most recreational part of Shëngjin Beach is the Kune island area, where a series of restaurants and other accommodation facilities have been built.

The beach is surrounded by pine forest and protected by high hills. It is located very close to national roads and accessible to everyone, providing good and reasonable accommodation in prices.

Boasting 38 kilometres of coastline, mountains, rivers and lagoons, history, archaeology and a rich cultural heritage, Lezha can offer it all in a full tour package.
