On Sunday, Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images from the river Shkumbin estuary in Bashtova, a stunning view of its outfall in the Adriatic Sea.

“Good morning with this panorama of the river Shkumbin estuary in Bashtova,” said Rama, while sharing the photo.

Shkumbin River is one of the main rivers in Albania that begins in Valamare Mountain near Pogradec and, after flowing across a valley 181 km long, meets the Adriatic Sea in one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, Villa Bashtova Beach.

The Shkumbin River which flows through the Albanian territory is famed for its rich flora and fauna.

Along its course there are also early Illyrian settlements such as in Lower Selca in the region of Mokra and the Golik bridge, where the three tributaries of the river Shkumbin join. /m.m/j.p/sm/
