Prime Minister Edi Rama shared today in the social media the impressions of two German tourists who visited the village of Bashaj in Vlora.

Rama said that tourists appreciate the good taste of family hospitality, mountain air and fantastic cuisine in the village of Bashaj near the Vlora River.

PM Rama wrote that this area in Vlora is completing the mosaic of opportunities with rural tourism, which is increasingly preferred by foreign visitors.

“We have been in the village of Bashaj for two days; we came yesterday and it is great. The nature is very beautiful and calm, everywhere you turn your head everything is simply very beautiful”, said a tourist.

“The food is excellent and everything is home-made. There was wine, which we really enjoy,” she added.

The other tourist said that, “We just came from a hike in the mountains through a very beautiful river. Those who like stones are in the right place because there are many stones that you can collect. The family is very kind and certainly willing to help us”.

Rural areas in Albania offer the opportunity for the development of rural tourism, through ecotourism and outdoor activities (river rafting, paragliding, cycling, fishing, hiking, mountaineering, mountain climbing, horseback riding, study tours, etc. )./k.s/r.e/p.s./

During the hearing session, Bashaj was interrogated about the coherence and authenticity of a contract for the purchase of a house in 2000. According to the administrative investigation of the team headed by Lulzim Hamitaj, with member Valbona Sanxhaktari and reporter Genta Tafa Bungo, there were noted changes in the financial declarations and an additional payment after signing the contract.

The Independent Qualification Commission, however, evaluated that the problems found had been clarified and decided to confirm Bashaj in office.

Bashaj has a long career in the prosecution beginning with the Prosecutor’s Office of Kavaja Judicial District and in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Judicial District of Tirana./p.s./
