“We are living the most difficult of times and they become even more difficult, just because a bunch of people want to drag the transition out. What does transition mean? Transition means moving from a dictatorial past to democracy, to freedom, to openness, to the dignity of every human being as God has done. Towards the freedom defined by the law, but in fact it is a natural right with which we are born, it is our right, God has given it to us and no one can take it from us. It is guaranteed by the law so that my freedom does not harm your freedom. These are the responsibilities of politics, which through the institutions has the responsibility to administer through the vote of the citizens, and by representing the citizens, it makes these laws effective, or stands in the way of laws to plung the country into disarray.

“In fact, we have to go ahead and we have every chance to move forward. We were the most isolated country among the countries under communism, the most isolated of all, with the most brutal dictatorship, which broke into the house of the people, the bedrooms, the souls of the people. They were afraid of themselves, let alone the police, the state security and the apparatus of the dictatorship. And now, we are among the most open countries thanks to 30 years, not thanks to politics, thanks to Albanians who have known how to embrace freedom.”
