The DP head said that the 2019 elections were not a normal voting process.

“You know that on June 30, 2019 the voting process was not normal. The elections resembled those in communism, a party that voted for itself, did the ballot counting itself and yet it took 2 months to announce the outcome. And yet again, 4-5 turned out to be with criminal records. “And now because of these, they found an excuse for the March 6 process,” said Basha.

Basha said that Prime Minister Edi Rama, President of the Republic Ilir Meta and former Prime Minister Sali Berisha are the leftover from the 30-year transition.

Suffice it to see how things have turned out. It is what I have said for months on end. It is not about war, it is not about principles, it is about the plight that binds them together. “Politics with a human face is not about regarding politics as a business, as an opportunity to get rich through corruption, because corruption is the enemy of Albanians’ wellbeing,” said Basha.

Basha added that Berisha’s barbarous attack against democrats was intended to hand over the party to Ilir Meta.

Basha added that the Democrats have united for uncompromising opposition against Edi Rama and for Euro-Atlantic values, and in this battle there is an invitation for all honest Albanians.
