On Friday morning, Basha held a meeting with residents of the area by the Pogradec lake. He posted pictures of the meeting on social media.

Today, the DP head will stop in several areas of Pogradec where he will hold meetings with citizens and entrepreneurs, as part of his tour throughout Albania.

The DP head, Lulzim Basha, during his stop in Lin, visited the family of Filip Petre, a family that endured relentless persecution under the communist regime.

According to Basha, in order for the past not to sink into oblivion and the wounds of the communist regime be healed, we have the duty to repay the moral and material debt to the persecuted and their off-spring.
“We talked about the problems and the oblivion that this strata of society has faced over the years, although their sacrifices and those of their families have deserved and deserve the highest gratitude and respect from all of us. In order not to forget the past and to heal the wounds of the communist regime that are still open, we have the duty to pay off the moral and material debt to the persecuted and their descendants”, Basha wrote on social media.

The DP head, Lulzim Basha, after the meetings in Lin, wrote on social media that Albania needs change to make the lives of Albanians better, to create new employment opportunities, to give our young people a better future here in our wonderful country.

But, Albania of European standards runs counter to the ambitions of the old politics that will rule for itself rather that govern for the people. This old politics is holding the country back. Albania has an extraordinary potential, and we must transform it for the good of the citizens and not of a handful of people linked with the power-holders,” said Basha.
