After the meeting with the British Minister for Europe and Americas, Wendy Morton, Basha responded to the questions of journalists regarding the expulsion of Flamur Noka.

“I have communicated to Mr. Noka his dismissal as Deputy Chairman of the Security Committee, I have not dismissed him, but I have warned him. The Democratic Party, whose opponent and adversary is the enemy of Albanians, Edi Rama and his regime, cannot be held hostage to fabrications, slander and misinformation that distract us from our main duty as opposition, which is the fight against this regime in it all forms and ways. We have launched a number of opposition initiatives and others are on the way to dismantle and erode the foundations of the Rama-Doshi-Rakipi regime. No way should we remain hostage to personal agendas that intend to turn the Democratic Party into a bunker for defending the personal interests of whoever they are. Therefore, such distortions will not be tolerated,” he said.

Basha went on saying that the decision to expel Sali Berisha from the DP parliamentary group was taken to prevent any potential division.

Regarding the question about the “ragtag” of governance, Basha said that such phrases that come indirectly or from here are fabrications and slander dropped to serve Edi Rama. They are fabricated to discourage the Democrats from their focus, while our whole battle is not to sacrifice the Democrats’ efforts on the altar of anyone else’s interests.
