Vata/ The spokeswoman for the campaign of Belind Këlliçi, candidate of the “Together we win” coalition for the municipality of Tirana, Silvi Bardhi, has accused the municipality of Tirana of nepotism.

In a media statement, Bardhi said that the director of the Inspectorate has employed his brother, brother-in-law and sister-in-law. The director of Tirana Parking Lots has employed her sister, husband and brother-in-law. The director of the municipal police has employed his wife and grandson.

“Erion Veliaj has run up a debt more than 10 million euros during his two terms of office at the helm of the municipality of Tirana. These are liabilities that will be repaid by the citizens of Tirana. Despite increased taxes and fees, the mobilization of the municipal police in repressive campaigns, collections worth millions of euros, yet all this is not enough for Erion Veliaj. This is his governance. There are hundreds of municipality employees who are paid with our taxes, simply to serve Erion Veliaj, his public profile, the political interests he has. “Hundreds of employees who get paid by our taxes, make sure that Erjon Veliaj appeals to the public, that he is liked, that he is shared on social media,” said Bardhi.
