According to him, Celibashi’s decision to approve his re-candidacy runs contrary to the law, alleging the State Election Commissioner of illegally influencing the May 14 elections through his actions or inactions.
Bardhi stated that the State Election Commissioner has the duty to administer the self-declaration form submitted by citizen Qerim Ismail Ismailaj and to ascertain the legal impediment for this candidate to running in the May 4 local elections.
He said that through a filing, Celibashi was asked to ban the subject Qerim Ismail Ismailaj from running for mayor of Mallakastër.
“In an unprecedented act, the calls of the international community, especially the USA, for clean candidates in the upcoming local elections have fallen on deaf ears,” said Bardhi.
