The Bank of Albania announces that, although their number marked a slight increase this year, this is the first time since 2012 that the number of bank branches is following a growing trend.

Experts say that the consolidation of the banking sector is reflected in the performance of the total number of banking branches, although according to them, the process of digitalization of banking services has had an impact on reducing the number of physical units.

In 2020, the number of internet-connected bank accounts increased by about 33%, thus enhancing the use of home banking services. //a.i/
